Dr. Lowell visited the University of Canterbury Rose Centre for Stroke Recovery and Research in 2015 with funding from an SU ADVANCE External Mentoring Grant. She spent several days visiting and training with Dr. Maggie-Lee Huckabee and her lab colleagues. Dr. Maggie-Lee Huckabee is an international swallowing expert whose research includes the use of ultrasound to measure hyoid and laryngeal elevation in swallowing.
